Albright Knot
Joins two very different diameter lines — like braid to heavy mono, or mono to wire.

How to tie it
- 1Make a loop in the heavier line; pass the lighter line through it.
- 2Wrap the lighter line back over both legs of the loop 10 times, working toward the loop's end.
- 3Feed the lighter line back out through the loop the same side it entered.
- 4Wet, seat the wraps, and trim.
Common mistakes
- Too few wraps on slick braid
- Wraps sliding off the loop end
When not to use it
When you want the thinnest braid-to-leader knot — use FG/Alberto.
