The fastest way to join two similar lines or add a leader/tippet — quick and strong.

How to tie it
- 1Lay the two lines alongside each other, overlapping several inches.
- 2Form a loop with both lines together.
- 3Pass both the tag and leader through the loop twice (a double overhand).
- 4Wet it and pull all four ends evenly to seat; trim.
Common mistakes
- Not pulling all four ends evenly
- Only one pass-through (weaker)
